Wells College Archives

We are supporting the Village of Aurora’s efforts concerning Wells College’s historic archives that pertain to the Village. 

Historic 1795 Law Office / First Post Office

We are working together with the Inns of Aurora and the Village of Aurora to preserve Walter Wood’s 1795 law office, which functioned as the first post office west of Canajoharie, New York. We have dismantled and stored the building so that it can later be rebuilt on Village property.

Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI)

We have received a grant from New York State as part of their Downtown Revitalization Initiative to carry out a major project on the Patrick Tavern property, making it more attractive and useful.
